The idea for establishing the charitable university hospital affiliated with El Sheikh Abdallah El Badri University arose after the expansion of the university’s medical and health faculties (including Medicine, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratories, and Nursing Sciences). Sheikh Abdullah Badri, the founder and chairman of the university’s board of trustees, coordinated with the university administration and the local community to help establish and construct the hospital buildings. The aim is to provide quality medical services at the lowest possible cost to residents of the area and neighboring regions, while also serving as a training and educational facility in line with the university’s mission as a non-profit, charitable institution offering affordable education.
Initially, the administration contacted the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the Federal Ministry of Health, to ensure that the hospital would be included in the state’s health plan. The Federal Ministry of Health confirmed that the hospital is ideally located on a highway connecting the capital with River Nile State, serving a population of 220,000 residents in Berber and an additional 350,000 miners in the region.
By the grace of God, the hospital building has been completed in an arched design, and a substantial amount of medical equipment and tools have been installed. The hospital administration is also working to complete the remaining needs through support from the Ministry of Health and charitable donors. |
